Dear Friends,<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been awhile since I\u2019ve posted something on my blog and now I am happy to say that I\u2019m back. I spent the summer teaching retreats (Spirit Rock and Europe) and then recharging as I reconnected with my first mentor and inspiration, Ram Dass, in Hawaii.<\/p>\n

I’m now eager to share reflections and inspirations that are moving me, and I hope will move you as well, to bring out our goodness and make a difference in the world. We plan to have regular blog offerings for you that will include not only my column but also inspiring video clips<\/span><\/a> <\/span>from past Awakening Joy guest teachers<\/span><\/a><\/span>, Awakening Joy for Kids<\/span><\/a><\/span> and other treats. The first week of October in the Buddhist community is Earth Care Week. So I wanted to let you know about an extraordinary series of five free online conversations<\/span><\/a><\/span> starting next Sunday, October 5 on \u201cMindfulness and Climate Action.\u201d The first conversation is with Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach and Ruth King. I\u2019ll be on Week 3.<\/p>\n
